Dyson David Barrus

There is a moment in every woman's life where for just a minuet, the whole world goes silent. Where she realizes that there is so much more to "love" than she ever thought imaginable.

That moment is when she holds her baby for the first time.
It is an indescribable/unforgettable feeling.

If there was an award for "best mom" Heather would definitely be in the running for first.

Since the day Heather found out she was pregnant, she went into immediate "mom mode". From watching what she ate, to "nesting" ... (she had been nesting since day one). Over the 9 months she would frequently ask me questions and share her fears of becoming a mother, and every time I would assure her that she was going to be the best mom, and Dyson was the luckiest little guy to have chosen her as a mother.

Just over 9 years ago, our mother passed away due to health complications. My sisters and I are frequently reminded of her amazing spirit, and the memories she engraved in each of our minds. Heather has always been known as having a lot of the same qualities as our dad, but last night when I walked into the room and glanced over to the hospital bed where heather was holding her newborn son, tears welled up in my eyes.

I immediately saw our mothers #1 quality, the love that literally radiated from her.

Heather, I couldn't be more proud of you as your younger sister. You are truly an amazing mother and example. I am so happy for you and Ky. Congratulations to you both.
