Okay so today was a
50 50 day...
I know I told you I'd finish last weekends project,
Of course,
I didn't
But like I stated in the last post there is NEVER enough time
no let me re phrase that
there is NEVER EVER enough time
But We accomplished something huge so we were pretty pleased
at the end of the last post I told you We were blitzing on our kitchen painting
and well
I'm proud to announce
WE DID!
Our kitchen is the one room in our home that has always really needed some TLC
No... Some MAJOR TLC
The Walls were Terrible!
It blows my mind how much a splash of paint changes a room
Our walls were literally stained
with.... with... with..
Yuck
Entering
JnJ Bascom
Please ignore the fact that i literally look like a boy
Its Saturday
mmk?
Moving on
We began by...
scruBbiNg
and
ScRubbIng
and
SCRUbBING!
The Worst Step of the process
Next:
We Unscrewed all of the Outlet covers and put them in a bowl to soak
cause
well
They were just as nast as the walls
That would be my focus face.. I'm not pissed I swear
Just a little sample of how disturbing this is...
Absolutely disgusting
Well Behind the Fridge..
we like to call our
experiment wall
as you can see paint is very very difficult to make a decision on
Yes Ladies and Gents that there is 11.. ELEVEN different colors that we experimented with
and not one of them worked for us..
The top red smudge Jake was convinced was ""the color"" ...
I REFUSED
So..
A Little Bitta Splish
A little Bitta Splash
And a This and That...
And
f

r
Hours
Later
BEFORE:
Notice: the Red splash/smudge on the right side of the wall...
Jake insisted on trying
in "Different light"
but we attempted to wipe off immediately after
unfortunately wasn't a huge success
AFTER
Its hard to see the difference but it is Amazing!
Before:
After:
Yes we still have to set our canned lighting into the ceiling
and
Yes, I knocked out a light bulb in my chandelier in the painting process
oops!
But until the cupboards are replaced
and
the tile is in
Welcome to Our Kitchen
Still a LOT of updating to do.. but all in Due time
Patience Yeago!
Aspen and Tuck
Are lovin the Changes!
